At the Northtown Mall midnight premiere of The Avengers: You didn't know
why we were there that night; for all you knew, we just wanted to see a
cool movie. You couldn't know that our sister, the youngest of us three,
would celebrate her birthday in three days. You didn't know that we were in
the process of moving and that she would spend her birthday surrounded by
cardboard boxes with all of her things packed inside, or that she would eat
her birthday dinner off of paper plates. You didn't know that we were
counting on you to make the midnight showing fun, yet we couldn't have
asked for a better crowd. You laughed, cheered and cracked jokes, turning a
great movie into an unforgettable experience and making what could have
been a sad birthday into a truly special one. When we left the theater, our
sister was still grinning from ear to ear. Thank you, fellow Avengers fans!
