Jeers to a radio station for their broadcast on Thursday 7/25/12 at 3:45 pm
when the studio announcers, all of whom sounded young (20s -30s), were
joking about tattoos and thought it extremely funny to mention the
Holocaust several times in association with tattoos. It was difficult to
understand the exact content because they were laughing so hard. Sometimes
all I could hear was the word "Holocaust" and "tattoo" in between gasps of
laughter. It is beyond comprehension the station could consider this to be
entertainment and humor. My initial reaction was to never listen to this
station again. On second thought, I purposefully listened to them to
identify their sponsors and I have since boycotted them. Excuse me for
taking so long to write but I didn't have time before this as I have been
taking care of my elderly mother who died this past week. She was 89 and
directly affected by the Holocaust. I wish I could say something to those
young people who find the Holocaust so amusing to help them understand the
horror but I am truly at a loss of words in the face of such ignorance and
cruelty.
