Stuckart and Woodward nearly matched in campaign contributions
The two frontrunners for Spokane mayor are nearly equally funded when it comes to campaign contributions, with each criticizing the other for taking money from special interests, and far outpacing the other three mayoral candidates ahead of Tuesday's primary, the Spokesman-Review reports.
Large fire on Colville Reservation 20 percent contained
A fire that had burned more than 10,000 acres as of Sunday night on the Colville Reservation is about 20 percent contained; while air quality in the region dipped due to smoke from that fire over the weekend, it had returned to healthy levels in Spokane by Monday, KREM reports.
