In preparation for Sunday's International Noise Conference, we've told you about the founders of the traveling INC (Rat Bastard and the Laundry Room Squelchers), the femme fatale of Northwest noise (Marlo Eggplant) and the psychedelic-jam noise band, Power Skeleton. They're just a sampling of Sunday's lineup. And another notable act is Aural Antithesis, an Everett, Wash. noise group. What AA does is something much more down-played than the other bands we've talked about: layering track upon track of quiet, ambient humming to produce something wholly unique in the blast-your-ears world of noise music. It's Lost Highway — but even stranger. Check out the video — and we'll see you on Sunday.
The International Noise Conference takes place at Object Space (1818 1/2 E. Sprague) on Sunday, April 11, at 4 pm. Tickets: $8. All-ages. Call 340-3934.
