Watch this sketchbook music video by local high schooler

After getting an English class assignment to make a video, Gonzaga Prep senior Kassy Schrader made this amazingly detailed music video with 1,282 hand-drawn pictures. The sketches may look simple at first, but then blossom into fast-moving narrative with complex layers and transitions.

She started at the beginning of spring break and finished it by the end of the week. The video features the song “The Gambler” by the band Fun., from the 2009 debut album Aim and Ignite.

The video is dedicated to her boyfriend — it’s their song — and it’s a hope that Fun. might see it since “The Gambler” doesn’t have an official music video.
