We always have plenty of great options for your entertainment dollar in our event listings and carefully culled Staff Picks. And we have this weekday blog to help you if you're just too busy to sift through them yourself. Your welcome.

Here are the highlights for Tuesday, Jan. 20:

COMMUNITY | The Cultivate Spokane Salon this time around is not only a great opportunity to meet and greet folks from the art community. This time around, new Spokane Arts Director Laura Becker will be on hand to lead a discussion of community arts goals for the coming year.

WORDS | Author Wendy Fox, a grad of EWU's MFA program, will drop by Auntie's to read from her award-winning short-story collection, The Seven Stages of Anger & Other Stories

COMMUNITY | Catholic Charities is hosting a volunteer orientation where you can tour the facility and learn about the myriad ways you could help make a difference in the community.
