First Friday goodies, and challenging theater at Stage Left today

Congrats on reaching Friday, the start of an Easter weekend that hopefully includes some worthy hops for you. You should consider a trip through our event listings and Staff Picks to find some great things to do to celebrate.

We'll get you started with some great events we found for Friday, April 3:

VISUAL ARTS | It's First Friday, so there is amazing art to be found all over town. Part of the festivities is the grand opening of Artemisia, a show at the Spokane Women's Club featuring 15 local artists.

VISUAL ARTS | Another First Friday event ties in nicely with the Easter holiday on Sunday. Baskets for the Bunny at the East Sprague Art Gallery offers the chance to see Diane Spano's amazing work with fabric and rope.

THEATER | Stage Left Theater stages Equus, a Tony-winning exploration of religion, sexuality and a brutal crime against horses originally performed in the mid-70s. I mostly know of it because it's the one that had Harry Potter naked when it was revived.
