Rollerskating for a cause, cooking local and CdA author chat

Humpday has arrived in this short (for some of us) week, so take a look at our event listings and Staff Picks for some inspiration finding something to do with your bad self.

Here are some highlights for Wednesday, May 27:

BENEFIT | I don't need many excuses to enjoy strapping on a pair of roller skates, but a fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Eastern Washington affiliate seems a particularly good reason. Roller Skate for the Cute starts at 6 pm tonight at Pattinson's.

FOOD & DRINK | Local chef and culinary instructor Joshua Martin is hosting Cooking Locally, a free discussion and demonstration at the North Spokane Library focused on Northwest ingredients and how to get them from the farm to your table.

WOODS | Local author and historian Doug Scott will be on hand at The Well-Read Moose in Coeur d'Alene, talking wilderness and conservation.
