Re: Smile

I completely agree that, when at work, an employee needs to be friendly & keep their stress & anger away from the customer. It is their job to make people happy & comfortable. However, they are not robots sent to do a job that have no feelings at all. I"m sure your comment was innocent, but I myself am a waitress & one day when it was extremely busy & I was just trying to hurry & get everyone settled, I recall a customer making the same comment, "Hey, why don't you try smiling", & I found it to be one of the rudest things that a customer has said to me because I am a human being with feelings, & I'd rather be real than walk around with a stupid fake grin on my face.
