MORNING BRIEFING: A police standoff in Hillyard and North Korea's own version of Facebook

Heather Cassel, the woman who was murdered near Fort George Wright earlier this week, was allegedly kidnapped by her boyfriend and her boyfriend's uncle before being shot and killed when she tried to flee. Both men are facing first-degree murder charges. (S-R)

Spokane police are working to resolve a standoff at a Hillyard skate shop that's been going on for more than six hours. A man armed with a machete is holed up in the business. (S-R) 

Names have been released for the three victims of a military plane crash in Lincoln County on Monday. (S-R)
