St. Paddy's Day events

Posted By on Wed, Mar 17, 2010 at 10:47 AM

There is no shortage of corned beef and cabbage in the Inland Northwest today. The same goes for green beer.

The downtown O'Doherty's is serving up drinking and Irish tunes tonight. Expect them to be packed with a lot of Irish people who know how to have a good time.

The Valley O'Doherty's has live Irish music playing all day and Celtic dancers will drop in frequently to perform. On tap: Guinness, Harper's and Smithwick's.

Coeur d'Alene's finest traded in their firemen helmets and suits for kilts today. They'll be stomping around downtown Coeur d'Alene during a pub crawl this evening banging drums and playing bagpipes. You can see them at approximately 5:30 pm, 8:30 pm and 11 pm at O'Shay's Pub. Also at O'Shay's, (313 E. Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive) the Miller Light has been dyed bright green for the festivities and Arvid Lundin and Deep Roots will be performing classic Celtic tunes.

Northern Quest will be celebrating, too, with Ruby Devine and the Kelly Irish Dancers. The fundraiser costs $35 and starts at 6 pm.
