Watch Ryan Lewis ask people about himself without getting recognized

What can you do when you’re the lesser-known half of a very famous, Grammy-winning musical duo? If you’re Ryan Lewis, you can go interview people on the street about yourself without even getting recognized. And the faces people make when they find out are hilarious.

We’d like to think that if Lewis did this in Spokane, where he grew up, all of us here might do a little better. Maybe. Here’s the segment from the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon:

At the end of the video, Macklemore himself makes a cameo — and jokes that he doesn’t know what Lewis does, either. But here’s what Macklemore told the Inlander for our cover story about Lewis last year:

“Ryan is much more than a typical producer. We are creative partners and do everything together. We operate more as a label than the typical MC/producer relationship. It’s important to me that Ryan gets seen for whom he is, and that’s 50 percent of everything.”
