A new week means new opportunities to take advantage of some of the opportunities presented in our extensive event listings and Staff Picks

Here are some of the highlights for Monday, Jan. 12: 

LIVE MUSIC | The Ben Miller band might have banjos and washboards as part of their musical arsenal, but don't go confusing them with Mumford and Sons. They play in Republic Monday night. Here's a taste:

VISUAL ARTS | Down in Pullman, Monday marks the opening of what is sure to be a remarkable art show at the WSU Museum of Art. Through the Lens, An American Century: Corbis and Vivian Maier juxtaposes some of the most famous images ever taken with intensely private photography. The show runs through April 3. 

TRIVIA | Test your knowledge of the arcane and ridiculous with one of the many trivia options Monday night. Hungry? Perhaps hit the Spike's Phillys and More edition
