First Friday, funny ladies and Shakespeare goes electro

Hello end of another week, and beginning of another month! Get it started off right with some worthwhile excursion, like the kind you can always find in our event listings and Staff Picks

Here are a few highlights I found for Friday, May 1:

VISUAL ARTS | It's First Friday, meaning great new artwork being unveiled all over downtown and beyond. Here's a pretty big list of what's going on at various venues.

COMEDY | The Bing is hosting Ladies First!, a full night of funny women doing standup, featuring Spokane’s Mattie Sobotka, Seattle’s Kelsey Cook and Portland’s Susan Rice.

THEATER | Down Moscow way, the U of Idaho theater department is offering an utterly unique, modern twist on a lesser-known Shakespeare play, Cymbeline
