Brooklyn Nights has been inching toward becoming a bigger music presence in town. From occasional one-act nights, they've gradually grown to host multiple-artist events. Check out Wayne Patrick, Mark Ward and Kristen Marlo there on Friday. Cover TBA.

Coffee Snatchers

So it's not in any sort of lodging, and you can't really get caffeine, but the "Hotel Caf & eacute;" tour, featuring seven seemingly cloned indie strummers, hits Bourbon Street Tuesday. The sameness of these acts is honestly jarring. It might bore some people, but if you like listening to the Grey's Anatomy soundtrack or Music from The O.C. (past like season 3) on repeat, this is your jam. Plus it's only like $11, which is cheaper than the latest NOW! comp you got at Sam Goody last week.

Rock of Ages

So it's taken forever and they've been (maddeningly) coy, especially that little flirt Patrick Kendrick, but Rock Coffee's flacks finally broke down a little bit last month and posted an ambiguous "teaser" photo of the new location to their MySpace page (myspace.com/rockcoffee). A few adroit friends posted a few veiled comments about the photo suggesting where it might be, which gave us enough info to go on a little Zoolander-style investigatory journalism excursion. Here's what we found: the building in question appears to be this one, at 1047 W. Garland Ave.

Whether that's the actual place or some neighboring structure isn't clear. But it's pretty obviously going to be in the Garland neighborhood, not downtown. Sad for the core, but great for Spokane's kitschiest, hippest, most overlooked neighborhood.
