THIS WEEKEND IN MUSIC!

TONIGHT!

Adrian and the Sickness, led by Helles Belles front woman Adrian Conner, plays rocking, gritty, garage-y power-pop-punk. Since forming, they’ve released a vast collection of singles, EPs and albums, including their latest, the self-released Criminal/Dog Days 7-inch. They’ve worked with the Go-Go’s Kathy Valentine, who produced their fourth album, 2009’s B.F.D. and recently were honored by their hometown with the Best Punk Band award at the Austin Music Awards. SATURDAY!

The Garland Block Party takes over the northside district with tons of art and dancing and Wizard of Oz related things. It is also anchored by a stage featuring performances by Belt of Vapor, Mirror Mirror, Julia Keefe and DJ Locke. Free. (All-ages)

A triple-punch of beloved locals take the stage at Carr's Corner (corner of Washington and Second): Whiskey Dick Mountain, the Camaros and BBBBandits. (21)
